Yoselyn Garcia

Hi! My name is Yoselyn Garcia.

I’m a multidisciplinary graphic designer with an artistic background in Mexico. I’ve studied visual arts for a long time and have worked as a Drawing techniques teacher since 2020. I’ve worked for an Electric company since 2018 as a Marketing assistant, and I aspire to start as a junior designer in future projects.

My brand, Yoosy GP, is a project that emerged from a personal goal. I graduated from a Mexican Arts Institution, one of the best experiences of my life. However, studying arts also makes you realize

the need for more opportunities for new generations of students who try to build a career as an artist in the job market. Yoosy GP is a project whose goal in the future is to become a source of opportunities for artists who would like to collaborate to create a professional job for clients in different markets under fair treatment.

Following a graphic designer career allowed me to meet new people and learn something new, and it has been the perfect excuse to leave my comfort zone. It wasn’t until I started studying graphic design that I got into photography; ever since it has become one of my favorite sources of content to create new narratives and contact people. Because of that, Canadore College has been a satisfying experience that forced me to take steps I never imagined I would take regarding my personal and professional projects.

My approach to design is mainly illustration-based, and my motivation is always to experiment with new materials, techniques, styles, and colors. I love storytelling and its possibilities as a bridge between communicators and audiences. In the future, I would like to become a certified professor who provides tools to new artists to contribute to the artistic movement around their communities. It is important to keep creating and implementing ways to inspire contemporary artists and designers, and professors significantly impact the generations they teach; that’s why I aspire to become a professor who cares about the artists’ free thinking and free development.

As a designer, It is essential for my clients to feel free to ask questions and keep the communication bridge open for them to express their ideas and expectations so we can work on it and create the composition they want and need for their project. I’ll always present you excellent results.
