Emma-Grace Joiner
Where to start . . . well, I’m a multidisciplinary Graphic Designer born and raised in Coage Country Muskoka. I started my journey in Graphic Design around five years ago, and what a wild five years it has been. As I entered my grade 12 year in high school, I had virtually no experience in the industry. Fortunately, I secured an amazing co-op placement with family friends who ran an embroidery shop. After that experience covid hit and I decided to take a year off before entering college. During this time, I jumped in the deep end at an Auto Glass repair shop as the head of their Graphics Department. My time here was hectic but extremely helpful in challenging me and getting me out of my comfort zone.
I’ve now spent 3 years in the Graphic Design Program at Canadore College. During my time here I have completed lots of design work for my freelance business, EmPower Graphic Design. I now specialize in Branding, Photography & Editorial Design. Some of my personal interests include car photography (and cars in general), F1 Racing, art, music & dancing. The modified car scene has been close to my heart since I was a little kid. During their teenage and young adult years, my parents were huge enthusiasts in the modified truck scene—hiing up shows, meets, and drag events. Growing up surrounded by this vibrant community, I couldn’t help but be captivated by the sheer passion these people had for their vehicles and the sense of camaraderie that bound them together.
I strive to create this feeling within design, by creating impactful, thoughtful, exciting, bold, and innovative work that inspires. EmPower Graphics & Media is dedicated to EmPowering you and your brand through cutting-edge creative design.
