Emily Chappel-Mann

Hello, my name is Emily Chappel-Mann, and I’m a graphic designer and digital illustrator. My journey into design started with digital drawing, which I fell in love with at a young age. What started as a creative hobby quickly turned into something I wanted to pursue as a career. Over time, I realized that graphic design is more than just making things look good, it’s about problem-solving, visual storytelling, and creating strong brand identities that connect with people. 

I’m currently in my last year at Canadore College, where I’ve focused on brand development, advertisement layout, and promotional design. I love the process of building brands from the ground up, designing logos, business cards, and marketing materials that bring ideas to life. Through my brand, E.L.C Designs Co., I’ve worked on various projects that allow me to combine my creativity with strategic design. 

Outside of school, I’ve gained real-world experience working as a junior graphic designer at Image Master. In this role, I’ve worked directly with clients, suppliers, and promotional product sourcing while learning more about print production and design for physical products. My previous experience at Staples in the print department also helped me develop a deeper understanding of printing processes and customer service in a design setting. 

As I get ready to graduate in 2025, I’m preparing for my showcase event, where I’ll present my work to potential clients and industry professionals. This event is a big step toward launching my career, and I’m excited to see where this path takes me. My goal is to continue working in branding and promotional design, helping businesses and individuals build strong visual identities while growing my own brand at the same time.
