Dylan Beauparlant
Hello! My name is Dylan Beauparlant.
Design and arts where always been my passion ever since I was a child! In the fall 2021, I’ve entered the Graphic Design course at Canadore College, North Bay, Ontario. I’m currently finishing my last year and I’m looking forward to graduating this year in 2024 and moving on to the next chapter of my life with upcoming adventures in the future.
My Graphic Design course has helped and inspired me to create my own personal brand for my future midway through my college years with the help of learning how to design a professional business website to out in my experience and my portfolio for my art projects over the years. My brand name is Fic Toons.
Fic Toons is a young brand, founded in 2022. The name “Fic Toons” comes from my original nickname for my art which is short for “Fiction” because of the fictional cartoon characters and stories that I have been developing since 2017, and “Toons” is short for the word “cartoons” that I Illustrate mostly on Procreate.
My goal is to aim for two things. One, to start off doing art commissions for clients to collaborate with me to develop ideas for the artwork they may have a vision in mind, a purpose for commissioning art, or an intended place for the art commission, and they communicate with me. I then create custom art based on their preferences. Two, to create cartoon stories to start off as a comic series and eventually turn into a 2D cartoon animated Series.
One story project I am soon to be working on, is about a teenager who discovers that he is a half-demon born from a human woman, and he is the inheritor of a demon's powers including shapeshifting into one. I have a unique art style and am very inspired by fictional characters plus different types of demons in this fantasy story.
I’ve imported the best of my work from my portfolio on my website to show what kind of art style I use and my general art skills. I look forward to posting more in the future. There are early concept animations on my YouTube account to show the progression of my skills and will continue to upload more as time passes with upcoming projects. My Instagram account will also have early concepts and behind the scenes of my work and will continue to upload as well.
